Salmon season is in the summer. I was fishing the Kenia and Russian Rivers June two years ago, landed two big salmon. I started a new work for fishing this specific spot. "Combat Fishing". You may have seen pictures of this fishing area. It had people lining the banks for hundreds of yards standing about six feet apart from each other. Next to me were two Russian drinking vodka. It is a wet fly fishing spot where you drew a red large fly in front of angry fish. They are not really feeding and much as to say, "get out of my way". The two I landed were 39" and 48", a good day. But, by fishing 6 feet apart between drunken Russian, you had better not cross your fly rods. Each rod being about seven feet long, makes this a fast and furious event. You had better stay in tune and not cross swards or those Russians would be all over you. But it was great, six hours and two nice salmon later I was smiling. :0) Love Fishing Stan
