You're trying to turn things upside down. Of course Davis had to defend himself. For the People Of California. While the American People are not defended by Bush-Cheney at all. They're anti-consumers (all of us), anti-environmental protection (our land not theirs), anti campaign finance reform and pro only every one of their big soft money donors. End of story.
