John I had in mind some of the science lab research that I read in the journals. The market for storage won't go away, but the hardware will change. Just off the top of my head without re-looking at the sources, I remember one thesis on molecular memory that really impressed me. Most of the science doesn't get productive and there is about a ten year expected time line. Closer in are the high density disk drives and some chip memory advances that should show up soon.
