August 16, 2001 -- President Bush spent Vacation Day 12 in three states - he started the morning in Colorado, held events in New Mexico, and returned to his ranch in Texas last night.
At a school in Albuquerque, Bush asked several kids, "Do you know where I'm from?" When they shouted back, "Washington!" the president insisted he's really from Texas.

Meanwhile, a new Pew Research Poll found Bush is unpopular with Europeans. His approval rating is only 16 percent among the French, 23 percent among Germans, 29 percent among Italians, and 45 percent among the British. Most polls have found his approval rating above 50 percent among Americans.
