I think Microsoft's P/E will begin to contract while earnings keep going north, albeit not as fast realtively speaking. I would love to see Microsoft's earnings grow 20% a year and see the stock command a P/E of 20 to 25...this just seems like it is more rational than what is currently going on...observation only. Maybe we will have to live through an adjustment period of going sideways with the price until we get normalization with the P/E ratio to the 20 to 25 range...but that is better than one day waking up and getting our shares slammed all over the place without notice????? There is nothing wrong with going sidways a while until the ratio normalizes with the earnings...unless you are totally margined like I suspect some people are and the interest just drives you crazy along with the nerves.
