I share your disbelief.

Here's the Letter to The Editor I just sent in, since they probably won't print it:

It was with great interest that I read your blurb on Steve Jobs registering to sell his Apple shares. In fact, it was "deja vu, all over again."

What new happened this morning to prompt you to re-release this story?

If there was a new development, I would be glad to read an update or clarification of the original story. However, as far as I can tell, this is almost verbatim what was published a couple of weeks ago (except, I don't remember the quote from Job's in the first piece). Is this something like a retraction, giving Jobs a chance to utter a sentence (and a vague one at that!) about how his intentions haven't changed?
Or, is it meant to be "news" of interest to those attending the PC Expo and therefore newsworthy enough to republish?

For what it's worth, those who follow the industry and are in attendance at the PC Expo this week are already aware of this routine filing and equally aware of your coverage of this "earth-shaking development" and the imminent demise of Apple that it foretells.

Please publish new "news" or no news and let this silly innuendo campaign draw to a close.
