I just posted the Sacramento Bee article from January that Bush-Cheney crony Natural Gas Company prices spiked 400% in California. Go back and read it. So you're the liar not me. And in my neighborhood they went up even more. Okay, let's say 400% instead of 500%. Still a massive gouging. The natural gas companies had no additional fixed cost for their supply during that period and profits sky-rocketed. Quit trying to defend the thieves. They don't deserve it and they are already using our money to defend themselves with lawyers and high-priced TV PR ads across the country. Spending hundreds of millions of our money to cover up hundred billion they stole. My position is they deliberately started the energy price panic during the midst of the election to help Bush and take away Gore's prosperity issue, then once Cheney was aboard and Bush ahead they decided to abuse the hell out of it and go for the ultimate fleecing. The hundred billion figure is a round guessimate but worldwide it's much more. They got away with it so far and if they do they will try it again. So beware of those whom you defend. They're not your friends either. Unless you're one of them.
