Hi, just a quick question:
Anyone here familiar with V.DST, old Donner spin-off?
Been watching this one with a quarter eye for a long time (yes, I'm stuck with a few shares) and it looks to me like it might just come out of its comatose stage.
Trades only by appointment but in the right direction and the MD is starting to look interesting.
Any comments would be appreciated.
TIA

Denstone to acquire working interest in coal mine

Thursday Aug 9 2001 News Release

Mr. Robert McIntosh reports
Denstone Ventures and Red Butte Financial Inc., a private U.S. company, are currently in final negotiations to each acquire a percentage working interest in a large-tonnage, thermal coal mine located in the Utah. Details on the scope of the coal project and a mine financing for the two companies will be released in the near future, following a full technical review of two existing feasibility and engineering studies which were conducted in 1992 and 1997.
Noting that high British thermal unit, low sulphur thermal coal is a valued commodity in the United States used primarily in the Western states in coal-fired hydroelectric generation, Denstone regards this resource acquisition as an exceptional opportunity for the company to diversify from pure mineral exploration to potential cash flow-based coal production. The company's primary focus remains unchanged and it continues to aggressively explore for platinum group metals in Canada.
