I did a lot of sitting, too. Exception - I've noticed a slow cycle in BLS, with very little volatility premium in the options. It tends to drop below 40 around the first week of a month, then close above it as options expire. I grabbed some 40 puts as it headed down, then sweated them as BLS never seemed to go below 39 long enough to shift the bid on the puts. Finally - today - it gave me about a 20% lift (potential of 50% if I hadn't bailed early). That's the thing about patterns - they change just as you become aware of them. - Mitch
