The You or Me at the door = You or Me to take a stand, to act, or not. There are many ways to take a stand. You don't have to hit the guy at the door with a two by four. And all consequences for not acting are not as immediate as death by fire. And if you rescue your daughter from today's hazard by a means that leaves her and everyone else in an inhospitable world, what have you accomplished? I think that the world rarely needs two by fours although too many people act like it does. Maybe "pyrric victory" is your term to look up today. Karen
