I see you have one. What research, if any, did you do? How long have you had it? Has it helped you sleep better, or wake up with less pain? (P wakes up almost every morning with pain in her hips.) If I felt it were worth it, I would have no hesitancy about getting one. But it's significantly more expensive than the alternatives, so if it's more hype than reality, I don't want to waste the money.

I absolutely swear by it. It would not be all that much of a stretch to say it saved my life. I used to be too stiff to get out of bed. And I would wake up every day at around 3. Now I sleep great. I consider this mattress a minor miracle. It took a good 15 years off my perceived age, joint wise. Immediately. The support is great, but yet it's caressingly soft and molds to every nook and cranny. Hard to imagine, I know.

On the down side, it absolutely ruined me for chairs. <g>

I looked at the adjustable air beds, too, but once I tried this I was hooked. I've had it a little over a year, I think. It feels strange at first, but they give you 30 days to try it out. I think you should check it out.
