Hate to clue you but Clinton gave us 7.5 years of prosperity. And grew a surplus so our taxes were a good investment in America. He also started paying off the massive Reagan deficits. After only 8 months Bush is now borrowing again.

One reason the surplus grew was because we had full employment and optimism in the country. And everyone was paying their fair share. More millionaires created than ever before and their taxes helped fuel a healthy robust nation. With these dastardly lay-offs there will be a ripple effect throughout society. And the laid-off people will need the social programs being cut more and more. Those social programs are there for when people need them. What will happen when the millions of new needy people (some average American families) now find no assistance left? Or when they get sick and have to wait 3 days to see a doctor under Bush's new HMO plan? Or when we even start laying off in the military because of Star Wars?

Oh, also how do you feel about the GOP privatization of SS now that the markets have been cut in half this year? Not such a good idea after all was it? Better to get 2% than lose your retirement money.

With all this, I'm shocked Bush remains with 50% approval ratings. I cannot think of one good thing he has done for any average American. Though it doesn't surprise me he's hugely popular in the Oil Patch. Their economy is booming.
