Hi Steve Lee; Yeah, you're right. The article that you misquoted was the same one that I quoted from.

Here you are quoting ExtremeTech:

"Samsung expects its Direct Rambus DRAM production still to make up 25 percent of its sales; DDR DRAM will now represent 20 percent of its total production; and 55 percent of the company's output will be synchronous single-rate DRAM": #reply-16227505

Here's what the actual article said:

"In units, Samsung expects its Direct Rambus DRAM production still to make up 25 percent of its sales; DDR DRAM will now represent 20 percent of its total production; and 55 percent of the company's output will be synchronous single-rate SDRAM. Samsung recorded a market share of over 40 percent in worldwide DDR sales for the first half of 2001, according to its own estimates. In dollar sales, however, "Direct Rambus is expected to have a greater than 5-to-1 ratio over DDR (sales)," Hughes said."
extremetech.com

In other words, there was never any confusion in the article about the difference between production and sales. You lied when you said there was.

In addition to being a liar, you're stupid.

Articles like the above, where the author explicitly spells out how the production is being measured, are more likely to be accurate, but the real numbers are on the Samsung web site.

But if you want to believe that Samsung's figures are in dollars instead of bits, I'm still waiting for you to admit that DDR production is already far in excess of RDRAM production.
