Hi Steve Lee; Re "Still no "yes" or "no""

You keep asking questions that are worded slightly different from what I can agree with. Why don't you use my own words?

What I said was that Samsung was cutting their RDRAM production as a percentage of total bits produced. Yes, I stand by that.

What you just asked was "Now, will you please answer my question - Do you stand by your statement that, in bits, Samsung has cut RDRAM production? Yes or No."

I never said that Samsung had cut their RDRAM production in "bits", so how can I stand by such a statement? I guess I could make a new statement to that effect, but the figures from Samsung don't prove that. What the figures from Samsung show is that their RDRAM production, as a percentage of their total DRAM production (as measured in bits), is decreasing between July and August. Nothing more, nothing less.

The figures I gave were percentages of production, not total bits. (See #reply-16216720) What I said was that Samsung had cut their percentage RDRAM production. You mom and pop types can't think exactly enough to understand the subtle distinctions between these kinds of things. Percentages by bits and bits are not the same thing.

Samsung increases their bit production every month, you idiot, so it is possible that Samsung reduced their RDRAM production percentages by keeping their RDRAM production steady but increasing their non RDRAM production. That's why I couldn't simply agree with your statement, I don't know how much Samsung increased their total number of bits produced.

If you were intelligent, you would be coming up with a positive spin for Rambus based on an argument like the above, instead of your silly suggestion that Samsung quotes production percentages based on sales figures.

I could go look for total bit figures from Samsung, and verify this, but frankly, I don't care. It doesn't matter. RDRAM isn't ramping any more. That's all that matters.

Re: "2) Do you stand by this statement made in post 77498?:" You're the master of misquoting by leaving out parts of quotes, aren't you? I already noted that I had an incorrect figure in that post (only 25 minutes after the original post), the corrected one is here, and yes, I reaffirm it:

Hi all; <font color=red>Samsung cuts RDRAM, raises DDR production, corrected figures (LOL!!!):
    Date RDRAM DDR
