PCCW COO unsure if China Telecom up PCCW stake 2001-08-16 12:43 (Infocast News) William Cheung, Chief Operating Officer of PCCW (0008), said that he was unaware of any reason for the surge of the company share price, nor did he know whether China Telecom is increasing its stake in the company. He said that whether the company is to make announcement in that regard would depend on the the Stock Exchange. The stock closed at $2.1 in the morning, up $0.18 or by 9.37%. infocastfn.com
