Oh dear.
Clearly morality is flexible where public opinion is involved.
One has to admire the Catholic Bishops for at least sticking to their principles. Not that I agree with them of course, but the logic of Bush's decision totally escapes me. Probably because there is no logic to it.

On another note, have you read the Red Tent? It's the story of Dinah- Jacob's daughter. I am really enjoying it. A friend gave it to me, and I started it last night after my movie and couldn't put it down. She also gave me Bee Season and two other books that look interesting. I add these to the 4 I am already reading. And the stacks I have to read later.
