Allan, excellent inspired post on trading a Diagonal… Ever thought of publishing in journals? They should be happy to have it. Sometime in ’97, I bought a stock on my broker’s advice. It was a ‘good’ company, and the stock looked strong, like it was ready to keep moving up. Shortly afterwards, the company had a negative surprise, and I got burned – to the tune of a nice week of skiing in Europe. A few days later, leafing through a book in Barnes and Noble, I suddenly saw a chart, strikingly similar to the stock I just bailed out of. The caption read: “Ascending Wedge with Bearish Implications”. I’ll never forget that picture… Needless to say, I bought the book… TA by Roberts and Magee, the “Bible”… Been into TA ever since… ;-)
