What is your take on the figues of Dollar Trading Volume vs. GDP which Alan Newman posts regularly cross-currents.net

If we were to get back to what he considers as "normal" trading volumes, we haven't seen anything yet.

As it is the only site to my knowledge, to post those type of figures, I wouldn't take his view as granted.
Tho, a chart of the number of active brokerages accounts (which link I lost) showed the same mania.
