communicating a thought.


If you're an Oscar Wilde or Dorothy Parker, yes. Or even Winston Churchill when in his cups. But on this thread, I agree with Kholt that precious few of the "insults" are worth the time to read. Mostly just pass over them and thank God for the next 10 posts button.

If people took a bit more time over their insults instead of throwing them willy nilly as though they were just scooping up mud from the nearest puddle and flinging it without properly assessing its stickiness and other factors, selecting the most appropriate handful for the victim to hand, and forming it into a properly shaped mud ball, then the flame wars might be worth reading. But when people just scoop up whatever mud happens to be nearest to their hand, like "homophobe," and fling it carelessly and thoughtlessly, no.
