btw- whatever the Petri dish is, the most damning thing you can do to people is ignore them. If people want to get their knickers in a twist over this thread, or anything on it, does that affect us? No- not unless we choose to let it. So make an effort not to read anything anyone drags away from this thread. After all, people with little self control feel impelled to read things, even by people who do not wish to associate with them. My advice to you would be- DO NOT BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. Of course one can be smug, and unchecked in one's insults when opposition is not around- and I recognize there are people to whom that appeals. But I don't want to see that happen here- and I don't think you do either. So please, let's try not to monitor other threads. And if some of you simply can't resist taking a peek, don't bring it here- and don't tell me. I know some of my "friends" have emailed me things (not you Poet, and not you Win) but I don't want to know. I really don't. Whatever is said out there, outside my presence, in the great gulf of SI, I do NOT want to know. I've heard it all, I've seen it all, and I don't need to see it all again. ok?
