I have the following annoying problem at boot-up that apparently stems from an improper de-installation of an old McAfee AntiVirus program:

Paraphrasing log on messages:

"Cannot find device file that may be needed to run a windows application"

"SYSTEM.iNI refers to this device file but device file no longer exists"

"if you deleted this file on purpose, try un-installing file using setup program or re-installing to replace existing file"

C:\MCAFEE`1\MCAFEE\MCAFEE`1\SAFE&~1\FB\WIND95.VXD

"press any key to continue" (my ANNOYANCE)

The old McAfee program is long obsolete and I had trouble once with a re-installation and update. Therefore I would like a solution that does not require me to re-install McAfee.

Thanks for any help
