Eddie, I hope your wife is doing well. The Medical Center is a big mess right now. Not that it is ever a small mess, but a combination of the flood that knocked out most of Hermann Hospital and the construction of the light rail down the middle of the street makes driving there a monster job.
Anyhoo, I've lived many places and over here by the Galleria is nicer than most. Of course, despite the fact that I was born in a town of 300 souls, I consider myself a big city dude. And the drive from my place to Sam Houston Race Park, about 28 miles, is a pleasant one with the most terrific flower displays I've seen anywhere. Well, anywhere outside of Lompoc, California, where we lived for a couple of years. They were commercial growers there, so the Houston amateurs can't compare with that.
I can't imagine anywhere I want to drive to at 3:45 A.M. and I would be as cranky as you when I arrived. <g> |
