I don't know about everyone here, but my guess is that most are far more diversified than the posts might lead one to believe

i hope that is indeed the case. i will mention again that my remarks were in the context of a hypothetical investor with an overweighting in large-cap tech stocks. if that is atypical for the posters and lurkers here, then great. but i do think there are some people with (what i would consider to be) enormous concentrations in tech. an interesting way to check this is to look at the responses to the G&K Portfolio survey from last November. check out the 64 replies to this post!

below is just a sampling (which includes yours truly at the bottom!). i was in a transitionary phase where i was still messing around with covered calls and still primarily owned tech, although i did have a high cash allocation (78%, now 100%). i have omitted the names and other comments for persons other than myself below. i find the above URL fascinating!
