Stan, Thanks for the kind words. While I certainly consider myself "young" at 46, I first became interested in the market earlier than many, as I entered college. The countless mistakes of the past have certainly provided an education.

Today's investor has advantages that we never had. The Net has changed everything IMO. Information access is simply incredible. However, the pain of losing one's hard-earned money coupled with the satisfaction of building assets though long-term investing, have been important experiences that I believe would be difficult to duplicate without actually living them.

OT - The drive must have been great. I was thinking of doing the same thing. In fact, I called a local specialty car rental agency yesterday morning with the thought of renting a Vette for the weekend. I backed off when they quoted the weekend rate at $350 a day. (I ended up working in the yard instead <g> In any case, it was a beautiful day to be outside)
