I'm one liberal who's against legalizing drugs. What are your thoughts about it? I'm one conservative that is for legalizing drugs. But I am a libertarian conservative. On principle I don't think it is the government's business to not allow us to consume certain chemicals. I might let practicality override my principles in some circumstances but I think that practically the drug war has been a disaster. It has resulted cost a lot of money, allowed for greater infringements on our freedom and privacy in other areas besides drugs, resulted in a greater level of crime and violence, and it hasn't stemmed the flow of drugs.
