Jim, I just came back from a neighborhood walk with the dogs during which I had a conversation with a neighbor from S. Africa. Just as I was about to ask her about the social/political situation there, she volunteered all the information that I might asked about... can't go out at night, etc. So it felt somewhat synchronistic to find your post so soon after. Thanks for providing an even broader view.
