Milo,

The review at Ace's showed that the dual 1.2 GHz Palomino creams dual 1.7 Ghz Xeon on workstation apps; such as 3D rendering, CAD, and code development. When Intel introduces the 2.0 Ghz Xeon, it will be clocked only 17.6% faster than the 1.7 Ghz chip. AMD's 1.53 Ghz Palomino will be clocked 27.5% faster than the 1.2 Ghz chip. So, AMD's performance advantage will only be extended.

Also, I wonder where the P4 1.5+ Ghz retail systems are. Seems they are a "no-show" at retail, even though they have been released for some time. It seems like we have shifted from Mhz sells, to value sells.

Pravin.
