Hi Steve, Long time no see. Your experience with children medicated to aid them through school sounds pretty hairy. I can understand that having a stressful home life would certainly exacerbate problematic behavior in school, but I can't see it being causal. I think many many kids have alcoholic parents, abusive parents, hell, abusive step-sibs, and don't get tagged as ADHD in school. They may act out violently or become depresive. You know, as I type this, I see your point. LOL. I do think it's complicated, as both you and X have said.
