And right next to Edwin Church's "Rainy Day In the Tropics" at the De Young , they had hanging nearby the original Maxfield Parrish "DayBreak" ... allwall.com (and every young man's heart was passionately stirred , dreaming of wise and playful golden nymphs at dawn...in another place another time ) ~Oh love , could thou and I conspire ....to grasp this sorry set things entire would we not shatter it to bits ....and remould it nearer the playful hearts desire ~ *** Back in those days they had just finished lighting up the world with electricity and the electric light bulb...pretty exciting times I guess, sans petty little world wars & devestating political nationalistic rivalries <gg> Full compliment of Parrish's work here mcduffskeep.com ;-)
