TWY, in terms FUD, you must not have a clear definition of it if you are accusing me of being an Intel FUDster. I have been dispelling Dan's FUD, but not by amassing my own. He was trying to prove by quoting an IBM paper that Intel's notched gate idea was a complete failure. At the very least, notched gates enabled the Pentium III to reach much higher clock speeds.

But besides trying to say that, Dan has said that Intel has made a huge mistake by not implementing copper interconnects in their .18u process, that they are about to make a huge mistake by not implementing SOI, that they are selling Pentium 4 chips to OEMs at far below the listed price, that they are bleeding red by losing out on their liquid assets, that they will be bleeding red in their Q3 earnings, that they will continue to bleed red as AMD ramps up their future products, that they will fall to AMD's superiority in the business sector, as well as the mobile and server sectors, that they will continue to fall short of performance, and that they are already falling short of performance. He says that they will continue to fall in ASPs, and that their business strategy does not support falling ASPs, while AMD's does. He believes that AMD's marketing will turn around, that they will begin labeling their products based on another arbitrary measurement instead of megahertz. He claims that they will continue to reduce costs due to higher demand, that they will soon release products that will put them above and beyond anything Intel has to offer, that their production will increase, and that their earnings losses are temporary, while Intel's aren't. Almost anything he has to say puts Intel down in some way. He disagrees with Intel's position on the VIA P4X266 chipset, he continues to restate Intel's relationship with Rambus as testament that Intel can no longer make good standards, he continues to restate problems with the MTH and 1.13GHz Pentium III as reasons why Intel cannot release good products, he continues to cherry pick benchmarks to show the Pentium 4 as a dog compared to the Athlon, he continues to post bad news like it's his job, he continues to monitor prices on pricewatch, systems at Best Buy and other retail stores, and links to other online vendors in vain attempts to prove that Intel is falling behind. And if this isn't enough, Dan claims to be an expert in just about every field as he tries to argue with every single forum member about how he knows best, and how it's just a matter of time before Intel falls to the way-side, while AMD ascends to glory.

So either you agree with Dan's consistent blathering, or you intend to ignore it in favor of labeling me as the FUDster, based on an error that took you 5 posts to back up. If the latter is true, you have a hell of a nerve, and if it's the former, you're as big of a fool as Dan. Either make your point, or give it a rest, because this is being dragged out much farther than it should.
