Samin, I am always amused when I read things like that because I think Uncle Al is great. I listen and read his stuff, watch his body language, listen to the ignorant, stumbling people asking him questions in Congress and the Senate and conclude that he is really on the case, knows what's going on and knows what to do about it.
He's great.
I think most people confuse their own confusion and lack of understanding about what the heck he's saying with his output rather than their processing of it.
They are using a 286 to process the output of a Pentium. Their internal computer says to them "Brrrrccchhh..ik..ik..urppll..duh". Since that doesn't make sense, they figure the input was bad.
When a dog listens to the boss say, "Hey, Fido, go fetch the leash so I can tie you to the post so I can shoot you because you are getting too old to heard the sheople", the stupid mutt hears, "Brrrccchhhhh, Fido, ["Hey, that's me!!!" and puts his ears up], go fetch the leash ["woohoo, we're going for a run"], ik..ik..urppll..duh". Of course Fido's punctuation isn't as good as that, but he gets the message and rushes off to get the leash.
Off they go to the post, with Fido wagging his tail, and "Bang!" Game over Fido.

PS: Is it actually something he says, or exactly what don't you like? Have you listened to him and read his writing? Is it just the economic outcomes of what everyone does that you don't like? He only controls the money supply you know, not the economy and irrational exuberance or irrational fear. He can only act in response to what everyone decides to do. If they go nuts, of course he has to adjust his money in response. |
