I understand crystallized negative feelings. I don't understand failing to distinguish between a purported quote and a negative-characterization-based-on-conclusions-drawn. And by the defenders of the X-hater brees, I don't understand defending his lie by pretending it was other than that. The path was so easy. Admit he tried to make X look as though she had 'mentioned' her 'distaste' for a series of things she had never 'mentioned' a 'distaste' for at all, and that that was not right. Go on, then, to say how much you sympathize with the hostility that would lead to such an intemperate moment of argumentation.
