It was a characterization presented as a quote.

It was, further, an unfair characterization presented as a quote.

Because X has never, ever 'mentioned' a distaste for justice. Or for principle. Or for human values.

Ever.

Of course you believe my presentation of a characterization as a quote where jla is concerned is unfair. But you have little ground on which to complain, supporting as you have the presentation of hostile commentary as a quote by the hated subject of one's commentary. I could write a defense of my false attribution just as you did of bree's. What is the point? Why defend false attributions?

Remember: X has never, ever 'mentioned' a distaste for justice. Or for principle. Or for human values.

You will write an essay now on how conclusion could, in your and brees's opinion, be drawn that would indicate that.... etc.

But...

X has never, ever 'mentioned' (or expressed, Neocon) a distaste for justice. Or for principle. Or for human values. You have to define things in special ways to even come up with the commentary, much less the quote.

Brees made that attribution up. You defended his doing it.
