And, as you so astutely pointed out, ASML and SVG are one and the same.

Had orders with SVG but because of delays they are evaluating the others

I'm willing to bet they already had a Nikon for evaluation...

fingolfen, in that respect you are correct, Intel has maintained that there is nothing wrong with their .13 ramp but the did NOT say that they took delivery of the .13 Steppers. In fact that's all they said.

I don't think that's what Intel said at all. I think that's what the ANALYST said... or tried to say. Again, I'd like to see the story again before making any more specific comments.

Lithography is a complicated beast. You have all of the laser and optical systems to work the kinks out of, and then that still doesn't guarantee results because the performance of the photoresist may be sub-par. Just because you can make one really thin line with a stepper/resist combo doesn't mean you can make a whole bunch of really thin lines in close proximity...
