I've had zero luck with the options, so I can't comment on that. Sounds like a plan, but I don't see ORCL hitting 12-13 anytime soon. Then again, it could.

My feeling is the LE took a look at the field, saw that ORCL was the "crown jewel" of DBs, was priced as the "crown jewel", but also realized he'd priced himself out of a huge, and growing market. By dropping his prices, his margins will suffer, but he will pick up a large number of new clients, particularly as his competitors suffer. This should also help ORCL sell more apps....I would think. Weirder things have happened.

BTW, if your time horizon is 10 years...are you figuring 10 years to get a 15% return, or 15% annualized? I kind've blanked on that part. My cost basis is $5 right now. I'll just buy more if it drops to 12-13.
