I can understand the temptation.

Unfortunately, I should have clarified that I was looking for punishments that could actually be imposed without violating the constutiton's prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment.

Actually, I was really wondering how many people thought the death penalty was appropriate here.
Or short of that, should it be life in prison without possibility of parole.
Or should it be a prison sentence less than life, so that this guy can return to society some day (and, presumably, at least in theory, be able to father another child).
