An amusing aside on Bill's next Excellent Adventure in Jurisprudence:

Asteroid set to fall on Microsoft's head
Gates quivering with anticipation theinquirer.net

What are the chances of Bill Gates winning a "good judge" in the lottery a US District Court will hold this week, we wonder?

According to US reports, the lottery to choose a judge to decide "remedies" for Microsoft's monopolistic situation will choose one out of 10, and the chances of Bill getting a judge who will think the Great Satan of Software is really the Guardian Angel of our Childrens' Future are slim.

We'd say that it all depends on how long said Your Honours have used a PC, and whether it runs a brand of Microsoft Windows or not.

Also, if any of the judges have been infected by the modern disease of Powerpointless presentations, they may be influenced against Microsoft.

There's rumours that Microsoft may settle rather than subject itself to this lottery. But we think His Billness and Microsoft may have one last throw in this fascinating game. See, if any of the judges have used Microsoft software, they may be prejudiced against the firm, and therefore shouldn't really choose a remedy.
