TA,

Now you can't possibly argue that government spending isn't a big part of the economy? Roads? Schools? Defense? Various welfare programs and administration of such? Government payrolls, Dept of Agriculture, NASA, etc.

And "The French Government paid people to dig up trenches
by the road and then paid them again to cover them up again!!!." Maybe Gov't spending can do good at times as well. What about the Blue Ridge Parkway? Wasn't that built at a time the government spent in a plan mostly to revive the economy? Our interstate system? Dams and huge reserviors like Fontana?
