OT: Hi John & valutrader, Imagine my surprise, when I took my '71 Fender Jazz bass in for some first aid to the local music store. The owner of the store, runs up to me with check book in hand, & asks me how much do I want for the bass. Of course, noticing his interest, I did what any good trader would do <g>, I asked him what did he think it was worth? he double checks the serial number out of some book & says he would buy it for 12,000.00. I almost choked on my soda. Needless to say I didn't sell. I still like to play it once in a while... Regards, Peter
