Try out this NASA site to -- you can project an orbital path for the asteroid. Click on the DATE button and enter the first real near "miss" of the asteroid which occurs on June 17, 2003. You will note in the AU distance window that the asteroid will come very, very close to Earth and at this point has a good chance of being caught by our planet's gravitational pull. Even if that doesn't happen, there are still 27 more chances that it could impact with us between 2005 and 2079.
