Jim,"sweet deals", What is really sad is that AMD cannot win at it’s own game. Remember that AMD initially drastically cut prices in August 2000 as the antidote to Intel venom. Well now, except for Dell, everyone else is losing their skins. Oh what AMD cheapies have wrought! But it appears the screwdriver shops are snaking it quite well with cheap processors and motherboards which of course set cheap prices that Gateway, Compaq, HP. etc compete on price with. And now AMD is having to cut prices further and further to supply more antidote to the point that a hard to swallow net operating loss is in store for this quarter. Of course Jerry does quite well with stock options but what is really much sadder is that so many luckless AMD investors fall for this ruse. Herb
