It means that Satan needs to put on a warm jacket, cause there's a snowball fight at his place tonight...;-)

Could this be the first signs out of Euroland that we've all been watching for? That somebody (i.e. Ericsson) has finally sifted the telecom tea leaves and figured out the amazing fact that CDMA2000 works, WCDMA is a Rube Goldberg device that is doomed to years of futility, and there is a really good opportunity to grab a big chunk of business if you can convince your customers to buy CDMA2000. Think about it... Ericsson convinces a European operator to do a CDMA2000 overlay, installed next year, then everyone sees it and wonders what they're going to counter it with, and the rush is on.

The other possibility is that some European operator has told Ericsson behind backdoors that they are going to implement a CDMA2000 overlay, and if ERICY can't supply it, then they'll go somewhere else...

All-in-all quite an interesting tidbit. Who would have imagined that the "we will deny their request" company could be the first Euro infra. vendor to embrace CDMA2000 and distance themselves from WCDMA...
