I view MSFT as an exciting internet startup with low downside
risk due their cash position and dominance in current business.

Today as Shurland was downgrading, I think microsoft was buying
shares in the open market.

Microsoft has announced that they wil cotninue to buyback shares
till 1998 (in their 10Q or 10K).

Keep in mind even with Shurland's comments, year over year EPSis growing at 87% rate. 97 to 98 he predicts only 20% growth in EPS.
He could be right. But doesn't MSFT deserve higher valuation than
ORCL on a PE basis?
