As Don would say- I don't think that Insider Selling analysis is statistically viable. Sure insiders were buying more than selling at bottoms in '82 and '91- but that's just two instances in the context of a 18 yr. long secular bull market. More telling would be what insiders were doing in the early stages of the secular bear of '66 to '82.

I don't think that was necessarily the case in the secular bear market of the 70's. In fact, I seem to recall reading that insiders were consistently wrong at the bottoms during that period- just like the public. Don't rely on my memory though- It aint what it use ta be. <g>

I would like to see some figures from that period to confirm or reject that notion.

OT- My grape vines are not real productive this year. On the bright side- the smaller crops often yield the best tasting wine. Last yr's crop was small, but made a good wine. You ever visit the southern Lake Ontario wine region in Canada. I was up there a few yrs. ago., and bought some excellent wine at a very reasonable price. Thirty Bench was the vineyard, I believe. The exchange rate makes Canadian wine a real bargain.
