Why is the 1GHz Morgan power consumption such a big deal?

We all know that the Al process is not as good as the Cu process. As far as I am aware, AMD are switching Fab 25 to flash production only and moving Morgans production to Dresden, at which point Morgan power consumption will improve. Then there is .13 and SOI.

Seems to me the 1GHz Morgan is just another step along the road. The significance is simply that AMD are the first to 1GHz in the value line, The scalability of Morgan at Fab 25 is irrelevant in the light of the forthcoming switches to Cu, .13 and SOI.
