interesting that our high schools are literally "killers"
but our colleges are much better....of course, if u look
at the universities it's the foreign students who are taking
advantage of the "hard" sciences (and then into some cushy
& very interesting hi-tech careers) while 'native' students mainly clog up the "soft" (or psuedo) sciences & artsy fartsy curricula & track into non-cushy & very boring careers (if they even luck into a career)..."Soft" careers
are like professional atheletics...1 outta how many 1000s
make it? How many self-supporting artists, pop-stars, TV
stars, actors, basketweavers & potters can we have? How many
psychologists etc do we really need...of course they're
on a higher plane than most of us "grubbers"...The observations about univerisity traks is just my personal
observation from student daze many yrs ago....situations
probably even more skewed now...
