If AMD experiences complete success with SOI in Q1 of next year, expect them to outfit Austin or one of the clean rooms at Gresham to do SOI - and that could make them the dominant producer by the end of next year. At this point, motherboard and chipset designers and manufacturers have as much experience with AMD's platform as Intel's - it would not be any harder for the industry to ramp for thoroughbred being the dominant processor than for northwood.
