Just as a matter of interest, this is from the news release about the in store pick-up at Circuit City for Amazon purchases.

""For electronics shoppers who want their merchandise right away, the in-store pickup option is a great way for them to get exactly what they want, when they want it," Bezos said."

I am totally lost by Bezos statement. He has been saying that the convenience of not having to go to the store, having a far larger selection than any store could carry and the lower expenses of not paying high rent made the Amazon.com the way of the future. Now he is saying that customers basically want instant gratification, do not wish to pay to have items shipped and want to fight the holiday traffic by going to the store to pick up their item.

Could someone please explain this to me as though I am a 5 year old?
