OT/Value. Amazing. Should get together and play sometime. Remember, "Just Dave Van Ronk"? Just him and that gorgeous axe on the cover! Still have my copy of that album. Truth is Rev Gary Davis, an old (at that time) blind black street singer, taught Van Ronk a lot of his stuff in the 50s. Ever hear of him? He was a huge influence on many of the top acoustic blues performers who grew up in the NY metro area. You guys got me so charged up yesterday, I got the Yari out and played for awhile. 1st time in weeks. Used to practice 3-4 hrs every day in the 60s. That's how I injured my left index finger. Nerve damage to the finger tip requires it be taped every time I play. Hence the necessity of a wide necked classical guitar that I don't play any classical music on.<G> Iso
