PCCW/Telstra Unit Puts Talks to Buy MobileOne on Hold: Report Aug 22, 2001 - 12:21:24 HKT Quamnet News Service Negotiations for Regional Wireless Co., a joint venture between Pacific Century CyberWorks (0008) and Australia's Telstra Corp, to buy Singapore's No 2 wireless operator, MobileOne Asia, have been suspended, the online version of the Australian Financial Review reported. The parties ended the discussions because they were wide apart on valuation of MobileOne, the paper said. At 12:18 a.m. local time, PCCW shares were down 0.5 percent at HK$1.88. quamnet.com
